Nfl Mock Draft 2024 Steelers Qb

Steelers to Play it Safe in First Round of 2024 NFL Draft

Analysts Predict a Conservative Approach from Pittsburgh

Experts Expect Steelers to Focus on Later Rounds

According to NFL mock drafts, the Pittsburgh Steelers are unlikely to make any major moves in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Analysts believe the team will take a more conservative approach, focusing on building depth and addressing specific needs in later rounds.

"The Steelers have a lot of holes to fill, but they don't have a lot of draft capital," said Steelers Now analyst Derrick Bell. "I expect them to make some value picks in the later rounds and target players who can contribute right away."

One area where the Steelers are expected to target is the quarterback position. The team has been searching for a long-term solution at the helm since the departure of Ben Roethlisberger. However, analysts believe the Steelers will not use a high draft pick on a quarterback this year.

"I think the Steelers will look to sign a veteran quarterback in free agency and then use a late-round pick on a developmental prospect," said Bell. "There are a lot of good quarterbacks available in this draft, but I don't think the Steelers are ready to commit to one in the first round."

Instead, the Steelers are expected to prioritize other positions in the first round. Some analysts predict they could target an offensive lineman, a defensive end, or a cornerback. With the NFL Draft still months away, the Steelers have plenty of time to evaluate their options and make the best decisions for the future of the franchise.
