Indiana Fever Lose to Dallas Wings

Fever Win First Preseason Game

The Indiana Fever lost their opening exhibition game to the Dallas Wings on May 3, 79-76. Four Indiana Fever players scored in double figures led by 21 from NaLyssa Smith. The Fever's next game is on May 9 against the Atlanta Dream. This will be the Dream's first preseason game of the season.

Before Friday night, the last time Fever forward Katie Lou Samuelson played in a WNBA game was in 2022. Samuelson missed the entire 2023 season due to injury. She scored 10 points in her return to action.

More than 13,000 fans were in attendance as Caitlin Clark made her home preseason debut. Clark, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft, scored 12 points and had 6 assists.

The Indiana Fever notched their first victory of the season on May 9th against the Atlanta Dream by a score of 89-77. The Fever were led by NaLyssa Smith's 24 points and 10 rebounds. The Dream were led by Rhyne Howard's 20 points.
