The Curtis Cup

The Curtis Cup is a biennial golf competition between teams from the United States and Great Britain & Ireland. The event was established in 1932 and is named after Harriot Curtis, a prominent American golfer. The teams are composed of eight players each. The competition is played over three days, with four foursomes matches on the first day, four four-ball matches on the second day, and eight singles matches on the third day. The team with the most points at the end of the competition wins the Curtis Cup. The United States has won the Curtis Cup 32 times, while Great Britain & Ireland has won the event nine times. The 2024 Curtis Cup will be played at Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pennsylvania.
